Two record executives compete for clients and success amidst the backdrop of a Sacramento recording studio managed by its eccentric producer.
Freddi Fantastik is in trouble. His label, Fantastik Records, is languishing in debt, his last session sent an A-list celebrity to the hospital, one of his artists robbed the studio at gun point, and the owner’s $250k saxophone was stolen. Adding insult to injury, Sammy Diamond, a brash young brutal bombshell, who operates the competing record label at the Track Shack, interrupts his star client meeting with the sound of her explicit workout that can be felt throughout the building, especially without the luxury of central air. As ego and tensions collide, Freddi attempts to heed the boss' advice, "Don't do anything else today that could get your ass fired....".
